Wright National Flood Insurance Services now offers a new, residential private flood insurance program – the Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) product.

BHSI is the latest proprietary private flood product offered through Wright Flood agents. Some of the features that are part of this product include:

• Coverages of up to $2 million for dwelling and $250,000 for contents
• Eligible for residential single-family and residential multi-family dwellings up to four units
• No distance to coastline restrictions
• Basement contents and pool coverage available
• 7-day waiting period for non-loan closings
• Single deductible for both dwelling and contents coverage
• Automatic replacement cost on both dwelling and personal property
• Building ordinance coverage included
• Loss of use coverage available

This first-of-its-kind, stand-alone product is ready to quote in California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia.

The program will expand to include Washington, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and other states during 2026.
