Wright Flood Now Offering NCIP Private Flood Insurance Product in 13 StatesThere will be additional states added later this year
Wright National Flood Insurance Services is now offering the Natural Catastrophe Insurance Program (NCIP) – a private residential and commercial flood insurance option – in 13 states. Further expansion across the United States will be coming later this year.
Where it came from
NCIP became part of Wright Flood through last year’s acquisition of Poulton Associates, a Salt Lake City-based flood insurance provider that has specialized in risk services since 1989. Poulton built and operated NCIP through its CATcoverage.com platform, and the combination has made Wright Flood the largest flood insurance provider in the country. Bringing NCIP into the broader Wright Flood network means more property owners now have a path to this coverage through the same agents and quoting tools it already uses.
Where NCIP is available now
The NCIP product is available for eligible properties in 13 states: California, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington.
What’s included in the NCIP program
NCIP offers a level of flexibility that helps meet the unique needs of a wide range of properties:
- Building coverage of up to $5 million, with contents coverage at 50% of the building limit, up to $500,000
- Eligibility for commercial properties as well as residential properties – single-family homes, mobile homes, condos, townhomes, and multi-family dwellings up to four units
- No distance-to-coastline restrictions
