Wright Flood Insurance Review: Latest FEMA Flood Map Updates

Every month, FEMA issues a notice to Congress highlighting the areas with newly effective flood maps and areas where a Letter of Final Determination (LFD) has been issued by FEMA, which indicates that a new or updated Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) or Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map (DFIRM) will become effective in 6 months. Wright Flood Insurance reviews these notices on a regular basis to help keep you up to date on the map changes that may affect your community.

In July 2018, LFDs were issued in 5 counties across the country, and new maps became effective in 9 counties. These changes could affect more than 4 million Americans across the country. (Updated August 20, 2018)
